Release notes

All the changes and improvements to Kundenkartei – by date, the newest at the top.

Web & GO
  • Customers from an import now get a consecutive customer number, just like customers entered by hand. Customers imported earlier without a number receive theirs at the next login.
  • Anyone starting with an empty Kundenkartei now gets the chart of accounts for the country of the licence, in Switzerland in their own language – German, French or Italian. The text blocks on documents are now also available in Italian and English.
  • Anyone starting with an empty Kundenkartei is now entered in it from the start, with the details from the licence – they appear as the sender on invoices – and with Déesse as supplier. Where this was missing or set wrongly in an existing Kundenkartei, it is corrected at the next login.
  • Under Settings you now find the «Clean-up» area. It shows customers that are identical in every detail – for example after a double import – and removes the surplus ones with one click. One customer of each group always stays, as does every customer with an order, invoice, appointment or note.
  • The customer import now reads dates reliably and also recognises countries by name, for example «Denmark» or «Suisse». A date that is ambiguous stays empty instead of discarding the whole row, and after the import you see which rows were affected.
  • Saving the next number under Settings → Numbering failed. This is fixed.
  • Anyone who started Kundenkartei with an empty database could not save their personal details under Settings, and invoices had no sender. This is fixed.
  • With a large customer list, the import sometimes reported an error even though all customers had been saved. This is fixed. If no answer arrives, Kundenkartei now tells you that the result is unknown and asks you to check the customer list first.
  • A customer import now recognises existing customers even without a middle name and regardless of upper or lower case; importing the same file a second time no longer creates duplicates. Before the import you see how many customers would be created and how many only updated.
  • When activating the licence, the fields are now named as in your licence email, and a hint shows where to find each value. The button is called «Activate license».
  • If you log in with a different email address than the one you used to activate your licence, your licence stays with your existing account. Kundenkartei then asks you to log in with the address you used for the activation.
Web & GO
  • Lists now remember how many entries you want to see per page. If you choose 50 in the customer list, for example, 50 are shown again after you change page – per list and in this browser.
  • The Classic overview now counts the same things as the «Note» tile in the standard overview: open orders, orders not yet invoiced, unpaid and overdue invoices. «Reminders» shows the correct number, and every link leads to the matching list.
  • The overview now loads without the full-screen «Please wait …» notice. Each tile shows on its own while it is still loading.
  • Under Settings → Import you first choose what you want to do: add customers from a file, or take over your whole data from Kundenkartei Desktop. After that, only the details for your choice are shown.
  • The «Please wait …» notice now only appears when loading takes longer than a moment. It no longer flashes up on an ordinary page change.
Web & GO
  • If part of Kundenkartei is temporarily unavailable, you now see a clear message in your language instead of a technical error text.
  • A return is now also only deleted after you confirm. Until now, one click was enough, and the stock rebooking disappeared together with the return.
  • Before a delivery is deleted, Kundenkartei now asks you to confirm. Until now, one click was enough and the delivery note was gone.
  • If a delivery cannot be deleted, Kundenkartei now tells you why – for example, that it is already part of an invoice.
  • If the article catalogue cannot be loaded while you enter an order, you now see a clear message in your language instead of a technical error text.
  • If the article catalogue is temporarily unavailable, Kundenkartei no longer saves an order halfway but tells you so. Your entries stay in place, and you can save again later.
  • When you send an order, delivery or invoice by mail, the sender address is taken from Settings → Mail. If none is stored there, the dialog asks for a sender address before sending, so that your customer’s replies reach you.
  • When you open the mail dialog in an order, delivery or invoice, your customer’s email address is filled in again. If she has none, the field stays empty.
  • Vouchers are fully checked again when an order is saved – including discount vouchers and credit applied. An expired or blocked voucher is now rejected instead of being booked silently.
  • When you change an article’s initial stock, you immediately see the effect on «In stock». The new value is only stored when you click «Save».
  • For articles from the Déesse catalogue, you can now enter a minimum quantity and an initial stock. The «Stock settings» block for this sits in the article form below the stock level.
  • For a Déesse article, you can now set the minimum quantity, whether it counts towards savings, and the booking accounts yourself. The form shows where you differ from the catalogue, and you can reset each difference with one click.
  • The «Minimum quantity» tab shows your own articles and Déesse articles together, each with its current stock level.
Web & GO
  • When several documents are created at the same time at the start of the year, each one now reliably gets its number.
  • When several documents are created at the same time, each one now reliably gets its number. Until now, with three or more simultaneous documents, all of them could remain without a number.
Web & GO
  • If you upload a backup from Kundenkartei Desktop a second time while the transfer is still running, the second request is now rejected and you see a notice. The running transfer continues unchanged. Until now, a second upload could destroy it halfway through.
  • When several documents are created at the same time, each one now reliably gets its number. Until now, in rare cases a delivery note could remain without a number.
  • Settings → Numbering now lists every document type for which Kundenkartei assigns numbers: invoice, assignment, order, delivery note, return, purchase assignment and purchase, each with its cancellation. So you can set the number format before the first document of that type is created.
  • Month and weekday names now appear in the language you have set – in the overview, calendar, tables and catalogue. Until now they were German even in the French, Italian and English interface, as were the «Note» tile and the calendar filters.
  • Currency, amounts and dates in Kundenkartei now follow the country of your licence, just like your invoices. Amounts appear without a thousands separator everywhere, on screen and on the invoice.
  • While an annual export was being created or a backup was being imported, the screen flickered every few seconds. This is fixed.
  • After editing an order, the view still showed the old state, so that a saved discount, for example, seemed to be missing. This is fixed: after saving, the order shows what has been saved.
  • The block is now called «Discounts & additional costs». Discounts are listed first, costs below, and the selection always fits in the window, including in quick entry.
  • When sending mail from quick entry, the dialog reported a missing sender address even though one was set under Settings → Mail. This is fixed: the sender address comes from your settings, and your customer’s address is pre-filled.
  • In invoices and orders, all amounts now line up right-aligned, and the total is highlighted instead of appearing smaller than the unit prices.
  • On invoices, the decimal separator now follows the country of your licence: in Switzerland and Liechtenstein 34.90 as before, in all other countries 34,90.
  • On the standard invoice, items without a note showed the text «ORD_NOT», the date appeared as «2026-09-23», and the note «Instead of the unit prices …» appeared even without a price difference. This is fixed: the invoice date is now written out, for example «23 September 2026».
  • If the same invoice was printed a second time on the same day, an error message appeared. This is fixed: you can print an invoice as often as you need.
  • When you select an option, for example in numbering, the whole frame no longer lights up.
  • Under Settings → Numbering, the names of the document types now appear, for example «Invoice», instead of a technical label. Each number series states what it is for, and an unused series is marked «Not in use».
  • The menu item in Settings is now called «Export», matching «Import».
  • Under Settings → Import, taking over your data from Kundenkartei Desktop is now called just that. The word «backup» sounded like saving your data and was misleading.
  • In the German interface, customers are now consistently called «Kunde» instead of «Kundin».
Web & GO
  • Each entry in the assignment history now also shows the document number – «Invoice created RE-42» instead of just «Invoice created». For an assignment with several invoices or delivery notes, the lines could not be told apart until now. A cancellation now leaves an entry too.
  • A delivery note now has an icon that records the return for exactly this delivery. The dialog opens with the delivered items – customer, assignment and delivery no longer need to be looked up by hand.
  • An assignment now shows cancellation and return as separate tabs – each with its own icon, next to order, delivery note and invoice. Until now, a cancellation invoice looked like an ordinary invoice, and a return was not visible in the assignment at all.
  • If a journal entry belongs to an invoice, the icon cancels the whole invoice – with all its entry lines. The confirmation says so beforehand. Until now, the attempt ended in a server error message.
  • In the finance journal, the actions now appear as icons directly in the row – and only those possible for that entry. An entry from an invoice can be cancelled; one entered by hand can be deleted.
  • Finances has a new tab «Cancelled invoices». It shows every cancellation invoice with the number of the invoice it reverses.
  • An invoice that has already been cancelled no longer offers cancellation – instead, a note says it is cancelled. Until now, a second attempt led to an error message.
  • A cancelled invoice now shows its items and its amount – both with a reversed sign, as a cancellation should. Until now it appeared empty with an amount of zero.
Web & GO
  • You can now edit the text blocks in the settings yourself and reset them to the default text at any time. Changes apply to the next documents.
  • For documents from Kundenkartei Desktop, the original invoice number is now shown in the sales overview and on the document. The filter also finds the document by this number.
  • You can now open the search with Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows), wherever you are.
  • When you save or create a customer, the search shows the updated details right away. Previously, the old name remained visible for a few seconds.
  • The search now finds names without accents: “durmic” finds “Durmić”, “muller” finds “Müller”. This also applies when selecting a customer in an order.
  • The columns of the overview are now aligned with their headings.
  • The overview now shows only open orders. Use the filters “Not delivered”, “Not invoiced” and “Unpaid” to narrow the list; several filters can be combined.
  • Clicking a row in the overview opens the order, just like the pencil icon.
  • The progress bar of an order now names the delivery note instead of the “delivery”.
  • Clicking a document badge in a customer’s order list opens exactly that document.
  • After “Create delivery” or “Create invoice”, the new document is shown directly.
  • An order now opens on its most recent document, i.e. on the invoice if one already exists.
  • If an order in quick entry could not be saved, the cart was emptied anyway and the entry was lost. The cart now stays as it is, and a message states the reason.
  • For each document type, you can now download the default template and use it as the basis for your own. “Use default template” switches back to the default template.
  • Selecting a template in the template shop removed your own templates from the list. This has been fixed.
  • Uploading a template sometimes reported success even though the template was missing afterwards. It now reports success only if the template is actually in the list, and otherwise states the reason.
  • In Austria, France, Italy and Luxembourg, templates were missing and invoices could not be opened as PDF. This has been fixed.
  • Amounts are now shown in your country’s notation: with a comma in the euro area (12,50), with a point in Switzerland (12.50).
  • In euro countries, quick entry, vouchers, promo codes and bookings now show euros instead of CHF.
Web & GO
  • The handbook now also describes the Documents and Export areas under Settings. And Quick entry is called everywhere what it is called in the application.
  • You no longer set up the means of payment under Settings. The Kundenkartei no longer accepts a payment, so setting them up is gone as well.
  • You now complete the shopping cart with «Place order». An order with a delivery date is created, no payment and no invoice — you still issue the invoice under Finance.
Web & GO
  • A booking that belongs to an invoice or an order can no longer be reversed on its own. The way to do it is to reverse the invoice; that takes all of its bookings with it. Bookings you entered by hand can still be reversed individually.
  • The VAT on a booking is now correctly extracted from the gross amount. Shipping costs and other additional charges are calculated at the full rate and appear on the booking at that rate.
  • An invoice with products at different VAT rates now appears in the journal with one line per rate, showing the amount that belongs to that rate. Until now everything was on one line that showed only one of the rates.
  • The Banana export now shows for every booking who it was with: first name, name and town of your customer, and for a purchase of goods the name of the supplying company.
  • New bookings show in the journal and in the Banana export what they were about: customer order, purchase of goods or private consumption instead of the name of the payment account. Entries already booked stay as they are.
  • Additional costs of type “Percent” are calculated as a percentage again. If you enter 10, it is 10 percent of the line total. Until now this became 10 francs, and that wrong amount was saved as well.
Web & GO
  • In Finances, next to the trial balance, you can download the journal of the selected fiscal year as a file for Banana Accounting and import it there via “Import transactions”.
  • The settings now have a new “Export” section. There you export the data of a fiscal year as a single file – invoices, line items, journal, chart of accounts and receipts, with a checksum for each file – and download it. For a locked year the file is the archive; for an open year it is a snapshot as of the time of the export.
Web & GO
  • The calendar now shows your customers’ birthdays as all-day entries – in the day, week, month and year view, with its own “Birthday” filter. Clicking a birthday opens the customer.
  • When paying an invoice, the customer’s name, street and town now appear next to the invoice number, so it is clear whose invoice is being settled.
  • In the order view, the tabs for order, delivery and invoice now each show their own icon, so the documents can be told apart at a glance.
  • Under Settings, section Log, you can now click an entry: the full message expands and can be copied to the clipboard with one click, for example for a support request. In addition, the “Type” column previously showed “undefined”; it now shows the kind of message.
  • If you completed an order with additional costs, for example an immediate payment discount, the order was saved but the associated invoice was not created – and the application did not tell you. This is fixed: the invoice is now created together with the order, with the discount deducted.
Web & GO
  • The invoice and the delivery note now show the items in the same order as the order itself. Until now the order of the items could differ between the three documents, even though they are the same items.
  • After sending a document you now see whether the email actually went out. If it did not, the reason is shown with it. Until now the dialog closed the same way in both cases, and a failed send went unnoticed.
  • Under Settings, in the E-mail section, you can now enter your sender address along with your first and last name. Replies from your customers to the documents you send go to this address. If it is missing, the application now tells you so in plain words when you send — until now an English error message appeared instead.
  • When you send an order, a delivery note or an invoice by email, your customer's address is now filled in already. Until now the field stayed empty, even when the address was stored with the customer. If you deliberately sent a document to a different address, that address is kept when you send it again.
  • An article's opening stock is now a stock movement of its own and counts towards the stock level. When you enter it in the article form, an entry appears in the stock journal — the stock level can then be traced entirely from the movements. Future migrations from Kundenkartei 5 carry the opening stock across the same way, with the posting date from the old application instead of an invented one. Data already migrated remains unchanged.
  • If saving a return fails, the form stays open and the message appears beside it. Until now the dialog closed even then, and your entries were lost.
  • A return is now saved in full — with the quantity you entered, the condition you selected and the amount. Until now it never reached the Kundenkartei at all, even though the dialog closed as if it had been saved. Returns entered earlier cannot be recovered; please enter a missing one again.
  • When you choose a refund on a return and leave the amount field empty, you are now told so. Until now the refund was saved silently with an amount of zero.
  • When you save a product, details that are not visible on the screen you have open are now kept. Until now they could be lost.
  • A product can be saved again when you leave a number field empty. Until now, saving failed entirely in that case.
Web & GO
  • At most one financial year is active at any time. When you activate another year, the previous one becomes inactive automatically — you no longer have to switch it off yourself. If several years were active at once in your records, the current financial year stays active and the others are set to inactive.
  • A closed financial year can be reopened. Until now a lock, once set, was final — even when it had been set by mistake. You can only change the year after reopening it: releasing the lock and saving is a step of its own, so a closed year is not altered along the way. Whether a financial year is active and whether it is locked is now shown at the top of the form.
  • Your financial year settings now live in one place: under Settings, section Finance. The chart of accounts, the financial year's master data and the invoice numbers are together there; they no longer appear twice in Accounting. New: the financial year's details can actually be saved — until now the form accepted changes without storing them.
Web & GO
  • When you upload a backup, you can now see how far the processing has come: the file name, the current step and the progress. You are no longer signed out. If you start the import from the settings, you stay there and follow the progress on the spot; if you are just setting up your Kundenkartei, it is shown on the import page. If you close the window in the meantime, you will find the status again the next time you sign in. Once processing has finished, you are taken to your Kundenkartei automatically; if it failed, you can see what went wrong and try again. A second upload is no longer necessary, and while processing is running it is no longer possible.
  • While a backup is being processed, you cannot upload a second one: the button is hidden, and any attempt is rejected. This is deliberate, because the second import would delete the data the first one is currently reading in. As soon as processing has finished or failed, you can upload again.
Web & GO
  • After a backup has been read in, or after an empty Kundenkartei has been set up, exactly one financial year is open: the current one. Past years are closed and no longer accept postings. Previously, no year was marked as the current one after an import, and closed years could still be posted to. If the current year is missing from your backup, it is created.
Web & GO
  • A new template for printing vouchers is available.
Gutschein
  • Vouchers can now be printed as a Word document.
Web & Go
  • An error when making a manual posting has been fixed.
Web & Go
  • Additional costs are recorded again.
Web & Go
  • If you set a delivery date in quick entry, the delivery is created along with it.
Déesse Rechnung
  • Older Déesse invoices can be opened again, and the window no longer closes on its own while they load.
  • Older Déesse invoices can be opened again.
