📲 Saving Kundenkartei like an app
Kundenkartei runs in the browser – so you need no App Store and no Play Store. With a few taps you can still put it on your home screen. After that it has its own icon and starts without an address bar and without browser tabs, exactly like an installed app.
Do not look for “Kundenkartei” in the App Store or Play Store – the app is not there. The way in is always through the browser.
🔗 Which address should I save?
There are two applications that you can add independently of each other:

On a smartphone, Go is the right choice. You can add both side by side; they get separate icons and do not interfere with each other.
✅ Requirements
- A smartphone or tablet with an internet connection
- On the iPhone/iPad: Safari (see the note in the section below)
- On Android: Chrome, Samsung Internet or Firefox
- Your credentials – it is best to log in once before you add it
📱 Step by step
The procedure is the same on both systems – only the way to the menu differs:
On the iPhone and iPad, Safari creates the shortcut.
- Open Safari and enter the address – on the iPhone
go.kundenkartei.app, on the iPadkundenkartei.app - Log in, so that the app is ready to use straight away later
- Tap the share icon – the square with the arrow pointing up
- iPhone: at the bottom, in the middle of the screen bar
- iPad: at the top right, next to the address bar
- Scroll down the list to “Add to Home Screen”
- Adjust the name if you like – for example
KundenkarteiorGo - Tap “Add” at the top right
The icon is now on the home screen. Tapping it starts Kundenkartei in full screen.
If you cannot find “Add to Home Screen”, another browser is usually active or the page was opened from within an app. There is more on that under If something does not work.
✨ What that changes
- Its own icon on the home screen, with the Kundenkartei logo
- Starts in full screen – no address bar, no tabs, noticeably more room on the screen
- Staying logged in: the login remains valid, you do not have to sign in again at every start
- Kundenkartei Go starts in portrait format, suited to one-handed operation
- No updates needed: the application is loaded fresh from the server at every start. You always work with the current version, without having to install anything.
ℹ️ Good to know
- This is not an app from the App Store or Play Store. Adding it to the home screen creates a shortcut to the web application.
- An internet connection is required to work. Your data is in the cloud, not on the device.
- If you remove the icon again, no data is lost – you only delete the shortcut. Your customers, orders and appointments remain unchanged in the cloud.
- You can create the shortcut again at any time, as often as you like, and on several devices in parallel.
🛠️ If something does not work
“Add to Home Screen” is missing on the iPhone
The entry only appears in the browser itself. If you opened the link from WhatsApp, mail or another app, the page runs in an embedded window without this function. Open the address directly in Safari and try again.
Android shows “Add to Home screen” instead of “Install app”
That is not an error – depending on the browser and version, the entry has a different name. The result is the same.
The address bar still appears after starting
In that case a normal bookmark was created instead of a shortcut. Remove the icon and create it again using the route described above.
The icon shows a picture of the website instead of the logo
Check whether you really had kundenkartei.app or go.kundenkartei.app open, and not a search results page.
It still does not work
Write to support@kundenkartei.ch and state the device, the operating system version and the browser you used – for example “iPhone 13, iOS 18, Safari”.
